Larry Grauberger started Graub Design in 2000, when he built a custom truck rack for a friend of his. Some other people saw the rack, and wanted one too! So  he decided to start building Truck Racks!

At first, marketing the truck racks was a real challenge, as all the dealers we contacted pretty much laughed and said “no thanks!”  But we didn’t give up!  Larry decided to try selling his truck racks on consignment at a small company in Port Angeles, WA called Highway King. The very first week he received 8 orders for his truck racks!

Larry then worked out a consignment agreement with a dealer in Tacoma –  with more success in selling his truck racks!

A little later, a  large canopy company in Portland started carrying the racks!

After 12 years – and some 1500 Truck Racks later – Graub Design & Fabrication has  diversified into a custom Design & Fabrication shop.  The shop now builds solid welded and bolt-together truck racks,  Whitewater Raft Frames, Whitewater Rated Pontoon Boat Frames, Custom Aluminum & composite Trailers.

The company also offers frame repairs, and custom fabrication projects as well.

Graub Design & Fabrication utilizes some of the most advanced equipment in manufacturing our products, from Auto-Desk Software (AutoCAD-Inventor), to cutting out custom parts on our Water Table,  Bending Pipe, and Tubing with our CNC bender, and Mig, and Tig Welding, and Powder Coating.

We’ve never forgotten that what brought us to the place we are today is quality custom building,  one job at a time!
